National Banana Day

Takes place on the third Wednesday in April — April 19 this year — and we are preparing to have an amazing day doing the best thing with bananas … eating them! Can you believe that bananas are one of the oldest cultivated fruits in the world? Bananas’ popularity spans across the world and there are thousands of banana varieties. Bananas are beneficial and versatile, and can be used in puddings, muffins, pies, sandwiches, bread, cakes, and more.


1. Eat bananas Some people may dislike bananas… but we love them. And what better way to celebrate National Banana Day than by eating them!

2. Post on social media

Create massive awareness for those who are oblivious of this day. You can take pictures of you and your loved ones having a great time with bananas, and post them on social media using the hashtag #NationalBananaDay.

3. Buy some banana cupcakes

Spread the love for bananas around your neighborhood; visit the grocery store to shop for bananas, and buy banana cupcakes for your children.
